... . ~; <br />Topsoil <br />Initially all available topsoil and subsoil will be removed, <br />stockpiled and stabilized. Scrapers will be utilized to <br />remove and stockpile the material. The stockpiled material <br />will be stabilized in accordance with the seed mixture <br />specified in the approved permit. Approximately 9,000 cubic <br />yards of such material will be removed. The locations of the <br />topsoil and subsoil stockpiles are depicted on the map. <br />Overburden <br />After removal of the topsoil and subsoil overburden, <br />stripping will commence. The actual pit area where such <br />activities will occur is described on the map included <br />herewith. The pit will occupy an area of approximately 2 <br />acres. It is anticipated that 133,000 cubic yards of <br />overburden will be removed and stockpiled. The temporary <br />overburden stockpile area is depicted on the map. <br />Coal <br />Following removal of the overburden, coal removal operations <br />will commence. Approximately 13,500 tons of coal will be <br />removed for the test burn. It will be crushed at the <br />handling area depicted on the map and hauled from the site. <br />Existing roads will be utilized for these purposes. <br />Reclamation <br />At the completion of the activities, the mined area will be <br />backfilled, topsoil and subsoil replaced, and seeded and <br />mulched following the practices described in the approved <br />permit. <br />
