July 12, 1991
L illylands Inc.
P. O. Box 204
R edvale, Colorado 81431
G entlemen:
A s the owners of the surface property that will be disturbed by the open pit
mining operation, we would like ro comment on the revegetation plan contained
in the permit application. The proposed seed mix includes the following species:
Indian rice-grass, Blue grama, Needleand thread, Galleta, Fourwing saltbush
and Winterfat. Vl~e approve of the proposed seed mix.
V~'e do not want any type sage brush, rabbitbrush or pinyon or juniper trees
planted in the reclaimed areas.
P`e have been asked to comment on a proposed woody p1anC density standard
of zero stems per acre. A woody plant density standard does not really mean
much to us. V+~e are confident that the proposed seed mix will provide good
browse for livestock which is our main concern. U'e therefore approve the zero
stems per acre woody plant density.
We also agree with adding one more grass and two forbes as suggested by the
division. V~'e would also approve of zero stems per acre on the forbe plant density.
/ !~
~.
Roy IV,. Davis
~~.~ "
Bet>~~~s%~ avis
yJ
