<br />XVIII. Prime Farmland <br />The Division has made a negative deierminaiion for the presence of prime farmland <br />within the permit area. Information regarding Prime Farmland is found in Appendix <br />I of Volume II of the permit application. This decision is based on a letter of August <br />6, 1479, from Kenn Lutz, District Conservationist of the Soil Conservation Service, <br />stating that there aze no prime farmland mapping units within the proposed permit <br />area. No specific approvals are required in this section. This mine is in compliance <br />with this section.(2.07.6(2)(k)). <br />XIX. Mountaintop Removal <br />The Canadian Strip mining operation does not propose to conduct mountain top <br />removal operations. The applicant has met the requirements of Rules 2.06.3(3) and <br />4.26.2.9 <br />XX. Operations on Steep Slopes <br />The Canadian Strip mining operation has reclaimed the disturbed area to <br />approximate original contour and a variance for steep slope mining is not required. <br />The requirements of Rule 2.06.4, 2.06.5, 4.27.3 and will be met. No specific <br />approvals are required in this section. This mine is in compliance with this section. <br />XXI. In Situ Processing <br />No in situ processing will be conducted.
