-18- <br />STIPULATION N0. 4 <br />THE PERMITTEE WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR ON A QUARTERLY BASIS GROUND <br />WATER LEVELS, PH, ELECTRU-CONDUCTIVITY AND TEMPERATURE FOR WATER <br />FROM 1) SLURRY DISPOSAL AREAS WITHIN THE MINE, 2) MONITORING WELLS <br />WITHIN THE MINE, 3) MONITORING WELLS AT THE ANTHRACITE CREEK <br />DISPOSAL AREA, AND 4) AT THE HOTCHKISS DISPUSAL AREA. A COMPLETE <br />WATER CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS SHALL BE CONDUCTED FOR THOSE CHEMICAL <br />PARAMETERS REQUIRED BY THE DIVISION ON THE AFOREMENTIONED SITES ON <br />A BIANNUAL BASIS (MAY AND OCTOBER). ALL ANALYSES WILL BE SUBMITTED <br />TU THE DIVISION WITHIN ONE MONTH OF COLLECTION. <br />STIPULATION N0. 5 <br />WITHIN THREE MUNTHS OF PERMIT ISSUANCE THE PERMITTEE WILL INSTALL <br />AND BEGIN MONTHLY MONITORING OF A MONITORING WELL IN THE NORTH FUkK <br />ALLUVIUM, NOT MORE THAN 100 FEET DOWNSTREAM OF THE LOADOUT SEDIMENT <br />POND. THIS WELL WILL BE MONITORED MONTHLY FOR GROUND WATER LEVELS, <br />PH, ELECTRO-CONDUCTIVITY, AND TEMPERATURE, AND QUARTERLY FOR THOSE <br />WATER QUALITY PARAMETERS REQUIRED BY THE DIVISION. ALL ANALYSES <br />WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE OIUISION WITHIN ONE MONTH OF COLLECTION. <br />STIPULATION NO. 6 <br />AT THE END OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR, THE PERMITTEE WILL SUBMIT TO THE <br />DIVISION AN ANNUAL HYDROLOGIC REPORT. THIS ANNUAL REPORT SHALL <br />INCLUDE: 1) AN ANALYSIS OF ALL SURFACE AND GROUND WATER DATA <br />COLLECTED DURING THE YEAR, 2) AN ANALYSIS OF IMPACTS THE MINE IS <br />HAVING ON THE HYDRULOGIC ENUIRUNMENT, AND 3) A STATEMENT EXPLAINING <br />THOSE MEASURES (IF ANY) THE APPLICANT IS TAKING TU MINIMIZE THE <br />IMPACTS OF THE MINING UPERATIUN ON QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF SURFACE <br />AND GROUND WATERS. <br />With the acceptance of the above stipulations, the proposed operation is <br />in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />VII. Alluvial Valley Floors - Rules 2.06.8 and 4.24 <br />The only area in the proposed permit or hydrologically adjacent area <br />identified as having alluvial deposits is the valley of the North Fork of <br />the Gunnison River. The alluvial deposits along the North Fork are <br />delineated in Exhibit 2.04.5-B of the application. As can be seen from <br />this exhibit, and the surface facilities inserts of Map 2.05.2-E; <br />portions of the existing surface facilities are located within the area <br />of alluvium. <br />
