r <br />GENERAL BID SPECIFICATIONS <br />The Colorado Inactive Mine Reclamation Program Genera[ Bid Specifications 1993, which <br />include General Conditions, Standard Work Specifications, and Standard Drawings and <br />Figures are intended to complement these Special Conditions. The Special Conditions <br />combined with the Genera! Bid Specifications 1993 form the complete Invitation and Bid <br />document. Please refer to the Standard Work Specifications for all applicable types of work <br />required in the Special Conditions. The General Conditions apply to all work covered in <br />the Special Conditions. Copies of the General Bid Specifications are available at the <br />Pre-Bid Mee[ing or from the Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG), 1313 Sherman <br />Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203 (303) 866-3567. <br />PROJECT START <br />The project is scheduled with a start up date for February 14, 1994. If your company cannot <br />schedule construction during this period, please do not bid on this project. A Notice of <br />Award will be sent to the apparent low bidder within four (4) days of the bid opening. The <br />Division of Minerals and Geology must receive the required insurance, bonds and project <br />schedule within fourteen (14) days after the bid opening. At the expiration of the fourteen <br />days the Division of Minerals and Geology may elect to award the contract to the next <br />lowest bidder. Bidders are advised to keep close contact with DMG during this period. <br />PROJECT SCHEDULE AND PRE-CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br />The project is scheduled for construction between February 14, 1994 to May 17, 1994. A <br />schedule of work items to be completed within this time period must be submitted to the <br />PROJECT MANAGER for approval prior to the start of construction. The project schedule <br />shall show time lines of major activities and Bid items, and shall demonstrate the <br />CONTRACTORS ability to complete the project within the allotted time. <br />TIME OF COMPLETION <br />The time of completion allowed for the project is 92 calendar days after receipt of the <br />Notice to Proceed. <br />LIQUIDATED DAMAGES <br />The liquidated damages for this project will be $300.00 per day. Please see "General <br />Conditions", Numbers 9 and 10. <br />BID BOND <br />A bid bond is required for this job. Please see the "General Conditions" Number 4. <br />PERFORMANCE BOND AND LABOR AND MATERIALS PAYMENT BOND <br />A performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond are required for this job. <br />Please see the "General Conditions" Number 6. <br />2 <br />
