Operational status was most recently reviewed and summarized by the Division in Permit <br />Renewal 03, dated 20 Apri12000. Status of revisions approved and stipulations issued <br />subsequent to Permit Renewa103 approval is summarized in that document. Status of revisions <br />approved and stipulations in effect since 20 April 2000, is summarized below. <br />Stipulation No. 50 requires the operator to notify BLM regarding discovery of any cultural <br />remains, monuments, sites, or objects of antiquity. The stipulation was attached to the permit via <br />TR-38, and remains in effect. <br />Stipulation No. 51 specifies that drilling and other development activity may not be allowed for <br />up to 60 days during the period from December 1 through March 31, to minimize impact to <br />wintering big game. Exceptions maybe authorized in writing by BLM. The stipulation was <br />attached to the permit via TR-38, and remains in effect. <br />Stipulation No. 53 requires the operator to submit final reclamation designs for refuse piles RP- <br />2/3f4and RP-Sato the Division no later than 10 October 2003. <br />TR-52 was submitted on 23 May 2000, called complete on 23 May 2000 and approved on 25 <br />October 2000. This revision allowed for the construction of a new return air shaft to the B Seam <br />workings (RS #2), and associated light use road; and a new ventilation shaft to the D Seam <br />workings west mains (WMVS #1). <br />TR-53 was submitted on 16 January 2001, called complete on 26 January 2001 and approved on <br />17 Apri12001. This revision was submitted in response to an order to revise the permit issued by <br />the Division. The revision includes map revisions to more accurately delineate disturbance azea <br />boundaries, and provides additional design documentation and demonstrations for Small Area <br />Sediment Control Exemptions (SAE'S). <br />TR-54 was submitted on 12 February 2001, called complete on 20 February 2001 and approved <br />on 17 August 2001. This revision addresses detailed sediment control plans and demonstrations <br />for the East Portal Facilities' reclaimed configuration. A preliminary plan, which was not <br />approved, had been included in TR-51, but that plan was withdrawn. <br />TR-55 was submitted on 25 May 2001, called complete on 4 June 2001 and approved on 20 July <br />2001. This revision provides additional map and narrative documentation regazding non-coal <br />waste, equipment and material storage facilities. The revision was submitted to abate Notice of <br />Violation CV-2001-010. <br />TR-56 was submitted on 22 August 2001 and subsequently withdrawn with the submittal of <br />Permit Revision 04. <br />4 <br />
