HART <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY <br />SUBJECT: Special Use Permit No. 97-13, Continental Materials Corp., dba Transit <br />Mix, c/o Mangini and Associates, 26`" Lane South of Highway 96 East <br />PURPOSE: <br />Applicant requests a Special Use Permit to expand the currently allowable uses to <br />provide for the sale of ancillary concrete and aggregate products in association with the <br />existing concrete batch plant activities and to provide an amended boundary <br />description for these activities under the new special use permit number (Exhibit 1). <br />LOCATION <br />The property is on the south side of Highway 96 East at 26"' Lane. The amended <br />property description for these related activities will be Parcel A of Lot Line <br />Rearrangement No. 97-02 , in a portion of the NE '/+ of Section 34, Township 20 South, <br />Range 64 West of the 6"' P.M. (Exhibits 2 and 3). <br />BACKGROUND <br />Continental Materials Corporation, doing business locally as Transit Mix, has <br />purchased the mining operations of Valco, Inc., and is in the process of purchasing <br />specific tracts of land owned by Valco.
