M
Mrs .Patricia Nelson:

November 18, 1994
Gunnison, CO 81230
Pat, sorry for taking so ling to get this paper work back to you, but will try to include
everything this time so you can make a decision on whether or not I need a water permit on the Gold
Links mine. I have included all the water samples taken by Bob Oswald of MLRB. Also we had
Mazk Templeton of the Gunnison County Sanitation Office go up to the mine and take new samples.
He sent them to the Grand Junction lab. Ii looks to me as if the water quality is very good. The
water has been coming out of this mine since it closed in 1912. There are no plans to disturb this
water in any way. If we were to mine this property it would be in a dry -ocation away from this
portal that discharges the water. If the water quality is good and it is never disturbed, T don't think we
should have to get a water discharge permit. We haven't been on the property to work or prospect N
three years and have no plans to do so. Please let me know your decision as soon as possible.
Thank you very much,
~--= ~-~r~-~-_
Melvin R.
