<br />The Review Process
<br />In accordance with Rule 2.08.5, the Division notified NCIG by letter of December 7, 2000 of the
<br />need to renew the existing permit. The permit renewal application (application), dated 01/26/01, was
<br />received by the Division on February 28, 2001. The application was deemed complete on Mazch 5,
<br />2001. An Applicant Violator Survey (AVS) Compliance Check was initiated on March 7, 2001 (1~`
<br />Check). Notice of the permit renewal application was published by NCIG in the Glenwood Springs
<br />Post Independent on Apri14, 11, 18, and 25, 2001. A copy of the application was placed on file for
<br />public review at the Garfield County Courthouse and the office of the Division. The Division
<br />notified selected agencies of the application by letters of March 6, 200]. A telephone response was
<br />received from the US Fish and Wildlife Service on March 12, 2001, and a copy of the record of the
<br />contact was sent to the applicant and to the Garfield County Clerk (for public file) on March ]2,
<br />2001. A response from the Colorado Historical Society was received on Mazch 15, 2001, and copies
<br />sent to the applicant and the Gazfield County Clerk on Mazch I5, 2001. A response from the
<br />Colorado Division of Wildlife was received on May 7, 2001 and copies sent to the applicant and the
<br />Garfield County Clerk on May 16, 2001. An adequacy letter was sent to NCIG on May 3, 2001. A
<br />response from the applicant to the adequacy issues was received at the Division on May 18, 2001.
