C. E. Johnston -2- May 15, 1995
indicated that if they needed more information they would
call. Additional information was supplied to Scott Simpson
(303-620-4309). Mr. Simpson was informed of the facility
address, the estimated amount spilled (4,500 gallons), that
this was not an emergency situation, impounded diesel fuel is
being pumped into a holding tank, there is no near surface
ground water and no nearby surface water that could be
contaminated.
5) A message was left for Ken Nordstrom, Director of
Environmental Health, Delta County 970-874-2165.
6) A message was left for Dwain Watson, District Technician,
CDOH, WQCD, 970-248-7156.
7) Since the spill did not enter the State waters, the U.S. Coast
Guard and Downstream Water Users were not notified.
TCC will work with the proper regulatory authority to develop an
appropriate remedial action plan. I will keep the Division
informed as to the status of the project.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~" ~
Jim Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
cc: Kelly Fritzler
