Ho: y ~ c
Ha: yG c
Employing the t test fora one tailed comparison:
t = X - C
SX
Where:
c = 0.9,u the revegetation standard (90% of historic record)
,u = standard mean determined from historic record
z = sample mean at year 9 or 10
SX = standard error of the mean defined as S2/n
tcalc is then compared with ttable at oC = 0.10, and n-1 degrees of freedom
If tcalc is greater than or equal to ttable Ho is rejected and the
revegetation is not successful.
6) Trapper proposed that the average of the last two consecutive years of
herbaceous production must be greater than the standard to conclude that
revegetation is successful. Rule 4.15.7(5) requires that, "the
revegetation success criteria...shall be met for at least the last two
consecutive years...". Therefore, the actual sampled values for
herbaceous production must meet the standard individually (not an
average) for the last two consecutive years of the liability period.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
9956E
/lal
