,~

no response. Fadra stated that her father would be o.k. and has probably walked down
behind "Grahams" where there is several springs of good drinking water. Norm, Fadra, and
I decided to continue with the inspection of road damage.
According to Fadra it turned out that the only additional feature that Larry wanted to show
us was a spring that comes out of a crack that she pointed out to Norm on the way down
"downhill only road". According to Fadra the spring used to emanate from an "area above
where the crack is now". Norm indicated to me that all he saw was "a wet spot in the road".
At this point I asked both Fadra Mautz and Norm Every if there is anything else they would
like to see. Fadra said that she would like to show me one more location which is a
reservoir. We went to the reservoir and inspected the area. After inspecting the reservoir,
Norm decided to split from us and go back to West Elk Mine. I took Fadra back in my
vehicle back to the Mautz Ranch. She had been carrying a large caliber handgun, which she
placed on the seat between us as we drove back to the Mautz Ranch. When we arrived at
the ranch house, I asked her if she would go look for her dad. She said she would take a
vehicle back up and look for him.
