This was a Phase I release of liability for backfilling, grading, and drainage reestablishment. It was Trapper's first bond release. A Phase II bond release (SL-02) covering 1570.5 acres of the Phase I release was approved December 20, 1999. DMG approved a partial Phase II bond release , SL03, on 592.7 acres of cropland April 19, 2002. SL03 was a release of reclamation liability and no monies were returned to the operator. The Division is currently reviewing a partial Phase III bond release request, SL04, for 1861.2 acres of areas reclaimed to rangeland and cropland.
