NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />Project: Haul Road Y-A <br />Location: Hayden, Colorado <br />Client: Seneca Coal Company <br />Project No.: 95-2384 <br />Report No.: 3 <br />Date: 8/12195 <br />Time: 2.0 <br />Mileage: 42 <br />EngrJTech: JK <br />Work Performed: <br />As requested, we visited the project site and conducted nuclear density test No.'s 10 through 13 on the material <br />being placed for subgrade fill. <br />At the time of our visit. the contractor continued to cut material from Sta. 4+00 to Sta. 7+00 and place, moisten and <br />compact 12" lifts from Sta. 7+50 to Sta. 9+20; and also place, moisten and compact 12" lifts from Sta. 0+00 to Sta. <br />2+50 over the installed CMP culvert at Sta. 1+50. <br />Remarks: <br />The matenal tested generally met project specifications with moisture contents being within 2.5% of optimum, <br />except test No. 12, which tested at 6.5% below optimum. We observed the contractor moistening and <br />recompacting this area after testing. <br />Please refer to the attached sheet for results of today's testing. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Chuck McCulloh of Seneca Coal Co. was notified of today's test results. <br />
