III Illlllllllllllll ~ ~S ~ ~ '~ ~~" '~`~~
~z~~~
vicinity of the Golden Eagle Mine. To BRI's knowledge, no
surface mines are planned in the near future which would
conflict with the operation of the Golden Eagle Mine.
2.05.6(6) Subsidence Survev, Subsidence Monitoring, sad
Subsidence Control Plaa
This section discusses the effects that mining and
subsidence induced by mining may have on the permit and
adjacent area. The Mine Plan as shown on Map 4, shows the
area of anticipated mining and the projected timing sequence
to be followed during this five year permit term.
Permit revisions for coal exploration within the permit area
are pending before the Division. It is anticipated that the
results of exploration and other factors will result in mine
plan changes, either within this permit term, or during
subsequent terms. The timing sequence and location of
underground mining operations may be changed to reflect
changes in the mine plan, in coal market conditions, and in
coal quality requirements.
(a) The Structure Inventory Map, Map-16, provides a brief
description of all structures known to be located within and
adjacent to the areas to be affected by mining under the
currently proposed mine plan. The following types of
structures have been identified:
1) Buildings. All buildings lie outside of the area
projected to be affected by mining under the currently
Proposed Mine Plan.
2). Powerlines. The powerline located over NW#1 & #2
Longwall Panels has already been undermined. Visual
monitoring and examination of the poles during and after
mining did not indicate any structural damage, nor
diminution of value.
3). Buried telephone line. A buried line lies under a
portion of the NW#1 LW Panel mined in 1991. This line was
installed after mining. There has been no loss of service
due to line failure, thus there is no indication of
structural damage nor diminution of value.
4). Waterlines. A waterline to provide water to the Rancho
Escondito Ranchettes from the Trinidad City water main was
undermined and the area subsided by the NW#1 Longwall Panel
in 1991. There has been no indication of damage to the
water line from 1991 to the present. (Reportedly, the water
line was not in service in 1991, nor had it been returned
to service at the time of this revision. Reference further
discussion under Subsidence Control Plans.)
2.05-48
(Revised 1-17-94)
I' W I ~~
