See <br />Section IV of this report for abatement procedures." <br />This concern resulted in NOV No. C-84-112 which has <br />been fully abated and is addressed in previous <br />correspondence from Kerr Coal to MLRD dated July 31, <br />1984, and August 24, 1984. <br />Topsoil (4.06) <br />"A diversion ditch needs to be placed on the west side <br />of topsoil stockpile E-1 to prevent natural drainage <br />from eroding at the base of the stockpile." <br />A diverson ditch was placed around the west and <br />southwest sides of topsoil stockpile E-1 during July and <br />August, 1984. This ditch assures that natural drainage <br />will not erode at the base of the stockpile. <br />Other items mentioned under Comments - Compliance are <br />comments to which no response is necessary here. <br />IV. Problems, Recommendations and Compliance Dates. <br />"The operator should repair the H-Flume located at the <br />load-out site with proper riprap material no later than <br />July 7, 1984." <br />The H-Flume at the tipple was repaired during the <br />first week in June, 1984. The repair was noted by Brian <br />Munson in his inspection of June 14, 1964. <br />"Violation No. C-84-112. A diversion ditch must be <br />placed to carry runoff from the south side of the <br />overburden stockpile to sediment Pond A. A reclamation <br />plan must be submitted for the area disturbed by the <br />sediment deposition. The deadline for the diversion <br />ditch placement and plan submittal is July 6, 1984." <br />As previously noted, NOV C-84-112 has been <br />completely abated and is fully addressed in previous <br />letters from Kerr Coal to MLRD dated July 31, 1984, and <br />August 24, 1984. <br />June 14, 1984, Inspection <br />I.
