SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />Blue Flame Project <br />RN-MINES-302 <br />PROJECT LOCATION <br />The Blue Flame Mine is located in the Hay Gulch Area of La Plata County, <br />approximately 6.5 miles southwest of Hesperus. The site is located <br />immediately west of the permitted active King Coal Mine. Please see the <br />attached maps. <br />WORK SUMMARY <br />The project work will include constructing two triple-wythe bulkhead seals and <br />regrading and revegetating approximately 4 acres of disturbed area. <br />PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE SHOWING <br />A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing will be held at the General Store <br />in Hesperus on Tuesday, September 15, 1992 at 9:00 a.m. Please see the <br />attached map. <br />The Pre-Bid Meeting is for the purpose of showing prospective bidders the work <br />site and vicinity. Bidders are advised to be prompt. Failure to attend the <br />entire meeting will be cause for rejection of a bid. <br />Bidders are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications <br />given at this meeting and site showing, all terms and conditions of the <br />contract documents remain unchanged unless they are changed by written <br />amendment issued by the OWNER. If the answers to questions, or any amendment <br />to the contract documents create ambiguities, it is the responsibility of the <br />bidder to seek clarification prior to submitting a bid. <br />BID OPENING DATE <br />The bid opening date for this project is September 29, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. <br />Please see Number 2 of the "General Conditions". <br />PLEASE NOTE that the Division of Purchasing had moved to; <br />225 East Sixteenth Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80203. <br />A written tabulation of the Bid results will be available to those bidders who <br />submit a self-addressed stamped envelope with their bid. Telephone requests <br />cannot be honored because of time constraints. <br />
