~~ ~'
Channel 16 is would be relocated 50 feet upgradient of its former location due to the extremely
steep terrain cut along Highway 67 and the complications of an additional interruption in traffic
along Highway 67 during construction. This channel conveys flows from six subbasins (SC1F,
NCF, NS1F, NS2F, NS3F, and NCF2E. The relocation would also be more compatible with
the conveyor location.
Channels 1, 2, 3, and 4 aze proposed to be relocated 25 feet downgradient to remove
interferences with the new water tank platform.
The computer modeling was accomplished with SED CAD+ to derive runoff estimates and
structure sizing. The design storm remains the 100-year, 24-hour , or 3.5 inch, event. All area
calculations were re-done to reflect the revised channel locations.
CC&V requests that you review and concur with the computations and the location such that
final design of the channels and other structures may be completed and that information
submitted to you for approval. We currently anticipate that those designs will be completed by
July 1, 1994 and that we would be able to construct beginning about one week later. At this
rate, we would need your approval on or about July 5, 1994.
Thank you for your assistance and your long hours spent on our behalf.
n erely,
Joh E. ardaway
alter Environmental Affairs
Attachments: SED CAD computations and Drainage Basin Map
FILE: CC&VSTIP.N06
2
