<br />2 <br />backfill~materials from off site "simply a waste of <br />money".(copy attached) <br />February 18, 1993- Dr. Corley signs consent agreement for project <br />work on his property, including backfilling of <br />subsidence and vent holes. (copy attached) <br />Mazch 26, 1993- Bid document sent to prospective Contractors. <br />Site Showing set for April 21, 1993. <br />April 9, 1993- Dr. Corley is notified of the site showing date in <br />writing by Julie Anneaz. <br />April 21, 1993- Site Showing is held. Dr. Corley does not attend. <br />Contractors aze shown holes that aze to be <br />backfilled, and told that project manager will <br />identify where backfill materials will be borrowed <br />from. This item is a lump sum for labor and <br />equipment, as no haulage of off site materials is <br />contemplated, per opinions reflected in Corley <br />letter of 12/22/89. <br />May 5, 1993- Bids opened; job awazded to Golden Drilling of <br />Salida <br />June 11, 1993- I informed Dr. Corley by telephone from <br />Steamboat of the Contractor and start date of <br />June 14 for work at the site . He~is cordial and <br />we discuss water levels which might be <br />encountered in the drilling, as well as access to <br />fire from gated private road to north. <br />June 14, 1993- Job commences. I begin keeping Dr. Corley <br />informed of the progress and findings of the <br />exploratory drilling on a weekly basis by leaving <br />lengthy phone messages on his machine. Dr. <br />Corley never visits site during working hours. <br />June 18, 1993- Spoke with Dr. Corley on telephone regazding <br />access to the site. Informed him that due to rain, <br />wet conditions, and length of cross-country access <br />from the gated road to the north, we had decided <br />to put in a temporary wire gate in the fence along <br />County Road 15 to access the drill locations, as <br />
