<br />2.2.1 Revegetation of River Banks <br />Revegetation of all river banks not otherwise protected using <br />techniques described in Sections 2.3.1 - Riprap and 2.3.2 - <br />Riprap with Vegetation shall be performed in accordance with <br />the guidelines contained in "Guidelines for Development and <br />Maintenance of Natural Vegetation" hereafter called Guidelines <br />for Vegetation published by the District in 1984. This docu- <br />ment contains guidelines for site preparation, selection of <br />grass species, landscape plantings, seed bed preparation, seed- <br />ing, mulching, fertilizing, irrigation for establishment of <br />vegetation and follow-up maintenance. All vegetated .slopes not <br />incorporating riprap should be constructed no steeper than <br />4H:1V. <br />2.2.2 Revegetation of Pitside Banks and Top of Berm <br />Revegetation of pitside banks and tops of berms not otherwise <br />protected with riprap or soil cement shall be done in accord- <br />ance with the Guidelines for Vegetation (see Section 2.2.1 - <br />Revegetation of Riverbank Berms) and the minimum requirements <br />of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division for reclamation <br />of gravel mines. The allowable slope should be no steeper than <br />4H:1V. <br />2.2.3 Revegetation of Riprap With Vegetation Areas <br />In areas to be protected using the riprap with vegetation tech- <br />nique as described in 2.3.2 - Riprap with Vegetation, it is <br />important that soil fill the voids between the rocks complete- <br />ly. The placement of the rock, soil, and topsoil mixture shall <br />be in accordance with the requirements of Section 2.3.2 - <br />Riprap with Vegetation.
