2. Operations Information <br />A. Section 2.03.8, Permit Term Information <br />1) Update the starting date of mining. <br />B. Section 2.05.2, Operation Plan <br />1) On page 2, update the coal tonnage actually mined. <br />2) On page 2, include reference to the data obtained from the <br />two exploration drill holes, in MR-01. <br />C. Section 2.05.3(1) and (2), Production Methods and <br />EquipmentlOperation Description. <br />1) Update the mining operations performed to date. <br />D. Section 2.05.3(3), Mine Facilities <br />1) On page 1, include the concrete foundation as an existing <br />structure. <br />2) Revise text to read "a road will not be constructed to the <br />sediment pond .", on page 1. <br />E. Section 2.05.3(7) Coal Handling Structures <br />1) Update the BTU values for the oxidized and unoxidized coal, <br />on page 2. <br />3. Hydrology <br />A. Section 2.05.3(4), Ponds, Impoundments and Diversions. <br />1> Change page 41 to page 38A. <br />B. Section 2.05.4(2)(9), Sealing or Managing Mine Openings, <br />Exploration Holes, Other Boreholes or Wells. <br />1) Have mining operations broken into any old underground <br />workings? MSHA regulations require that open drifts be <br />filled with 25 feet of noncombustible material. In addition <br />the Division's Rule 4.05.12 requires the recharge capacity to <br />be maintained, so filling the workings with clay is not <br />appropriate. Please describe the method of backfilling the <br />adits, etc., that were broken into. <br />C. Section 2.05.6(3)(2), Surface Water <br />1) On page 6, the permit states that straw bales will be placed <br />on the sides of the road to the topsoil pile.
