04/29/02 <br />High School Shop and Maintenance <br />ones, with no new ones to report. <br />The maintenance Room is attached <br />condition as well. <br />Room Con't; <br />to the shop and is in good <br />Modular Home Pre-School Class rooms; This moble home is set up <br />on a concrete foundation wall. I found two settlement cracks on <br />the foundation, one on the east side in front of the access ramp <br />to the front doors, and one on the west side approx. 10 feet from <br />the corner of the b uilding. Both cracks were hairline and not a <br />problem to the structure. <br />The interior walls are paneled and the ceiling has texture and <br />paint on it, I found no cracks or separations anywhere to report. <br />The High School, Gym, Cafateria, Library and Classrooms; The ex- <br />terior of the school is all brick with approximately 2 to 3 foot <br />of concrete at the base and surface line. The Center of the walls <br />are glass, which are approximately 8 feet tall up the wall. <br />The glass all around was in good repair, none broken or cracked, <br />and all are functional, as well as all exterior doors. <br />The concrete foundation has several normal cracking from age of <br />the building and settlement but nothing new on the day of inspec- <br />tion. The brick did not show any signs of shifting or separation <br />as we1l.Some of the trimwork around the windows was in need of <br />minor repairs such as sealing and paint, but this is due to age <br />not destruction. <br />All concrete pads and sidewalks were in good repair as well. <br />The gym interior is brick at baseline to approx. 6 foot, with <br />cinder-block to the ceiling. I found several older cracks in the <br />walls around and in the corners, and one newer crack on the south <br />end end behind the goal basket on the right side, in the cinder- <br />block part of the wall. Looks like it is one two months old at <br />best, maybe longer. The majority of if not all of the cracks are <br />from settlement and age of the building. <br />The cafeteria is connected to the main building, with the same <br />type of structure as well. The floors are all concrete and has a <br />crack in the center of the floor in the storage room which is <br />fairly hew, it spreads from one side of the room to the other, an <br />is connected to older settlement cracks as well.
