This property is North of the coal mining operations, along Hyway
72, in Primero, Co. and is approximately 20 miles to the west of
Trinidad, C:o.
There are 8 residental homes with a modular home used as a pre-
school as well as a maintenance shop and a building trades shop
and a cinderblock building used as a restroom for the football
field.
There is a well on the campus, but is rarely used because of
problems with the system, it will run for only 15 minutes or so
and shut off.The well pump motor has been replaced but that did
not solve the problem, it is being checked out to see what is the
problem.
The residential housing units are all stick built and approx-
imately 20 to 30 years lod. They are all vinyl siding on the out
side walls with all having pro-panel roofs but one unit.
The foundations are primerally cinder-block with approx. '-„ of
the units having some concrete along the foundation walls. All
of the units are structurally sound, having some cracks from the
years of settleing.
Starting with Unit # 20201; This home is in fair condition and
has the family room floors and bedroom floors in carpet, with the
bath and kitchen floors in vinyl covering. The threshold leading
to the center hallway is cracked on the top side all the way
thru the wall on the hall side of the doorway. The bathroom wall
on the south side has a crack going to the ceiling. The resident
says these have happened since the blasting was started, and
that the kitchen doorway to the hall in the last two weeks. He
also stated that the se cracks are all new in the center of the
house.
The foundation appears to be in good shape all around the house,
with normal hairline cracks between the cinder block which would
be normal for the age of the home.
Unit # 20202; The interior of this home has wall paper and tex-
tured and painted walls, the bathroom and kitchen are wallpaper
with plywood, (painted), ceilings. The living room and bedrooms
are all textured and painted walls and ceilings.
Center hall doorway from kitchen to the bath has one crack on
the under side of archway and two cracks from archway to the
ceiling approximately 4 to 6 inches up from the archway.. The rest
of the house is free of cracks, with good clean walls and ceiling
is in good repairs as well.
Pg. 1 of 5
Pre-Blast Survey Request, g'~~lr~~VE® TRINIDAD,CDLORAD081082
U.SA
Primero Junior & Senior ~
High School & Pre School L9QY O`~ 1002 Fax•719 84~90421~
8 Homes for the Teachers Home; 719-846-0461
Givision of Minerals and Geology 04 / 29 / 02
