ELIMINATING EVAPORATIVE LOSSES AND PROVIDING FOR DIRECT <br />RECHARGE TO THE GROUNDWATER SYSTEM. <br />In a faxed response, dated January 31, 1994, EFCI informed the Division of the intent to pursue <br />option one, and that they had "reopened the file" with the State Engineer's Office. The Division <br />was informed on May 23, 1994 that EFCI wished to pursue the second option of a closed-loop <br />system in lieu of obtaining a permit for dewatering. The State Engineer's Office concurred with <br />this decision in a letter dated June 8, 1994 addressed to the Division. EFCI submitted Technical <br />Revision No.19, received by the Division on June 16, 1994. TR19 outlined the plans to close the <br />North Dewatering Well and channel the water into old abandoned workings. <br />STIPULATION NO. 14 <br />PEAK FLOW SHALL BE MEASURED IN MAGPIE CREEK ON A QUARTERLY BASIS AT <br />THE CURRENT MONITORING STATION. DATA ACQUII2ED FROM THIS <br />MONITORING SHALL BE SUBMITTED QUARTERLY AND INCLUDED IN THE <br />ANNUAL HYDROLOGY REPORTS FOR THE MINE. <br />Status -Terminated <br />EFCI has included the monitoring requirements into Exhibit 25 -Hydrologic Monitoring Plan. <br />The monitoring is now included as a part of the permit and will be reported with the submittal of <br />the Ammual Hydrology Report. <br />STIPULATION N0. 15 <br />THE OPERATOR SHALL MONITOR FLOWS IN SECOND ALKALI CREEK SO AS TO <br />MEASURE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM FLOWS DURING EACH QUARTER <br />FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF PERMIT REVISION NO. 1. DURING THE MONITORING <br />YEAR, AT LEAST ONE GRAB SAMPLE SHALL BE COLLECTED WHEN STREAMFLOW <br />IS PRESENT. THIS SAMPLE SHALL BE SUBMITTED FOR LAB ANALYSIS FOR TOTAL <br />DISSOLVED SOLIDS, TOTAL SUSPENDED SOLIDS, pH, TOTAL DISSOLVED IRON <br />AND MANGANESE.
