i
' 3.4.3 Site Restoration
• Debris: Woody material cleared from the ROW will be randomly scattered
over the ROW and TUAs after cleanup and seeding is done and will be "walked
down' with arubber-tired tractor.
' Rocks that were cleared from the ROW will be randomly placed on the ROW
with a wheeled front-end loader or other equipment capable of carrying the
material. Rocks removed from the excavation will either be used as riprap at
stream or washout crossings, buried on the ROW, strategically placed as
' barricades across the ROW to deter use of the ROW as a road, or randomly
scattered across the ROW as stated above. The density of surface rocks will be
comparable with the adjacent undisturbed land. Rocks will not be windrowed
' on the pipeline trench with the other material. Placement of the woody material
and rocks will not interfere with operation of water diversions.
' • Rimrock: There is limited rimrock along the pipeline corridor route. The
rimrock area around Davis Point may involve addit;~nal cleanup, restoration,
and rimrock repair using selective rock placement and filling the slope close to
its original contour.
• Slope Protection: Temporary riprap may be used to secure banks from
erosion. This may be material from the ROW construction (large rock), gabions,
or sandbags. Slope protection will be designed for the particular application
required.
• Other: Upon completion of construction and reclamation, all fences and
' other range improvement projects will be reestablished to as good or better
condition than the original.
' During reclamation, all above-ground structures and above-ground pipelines
will be painted a color that blends with the natural surroundings.
' After complying with all restoration stipulations on public lands, American Soda
will submit a "proof of restoration" letter with the BLM.
~J

' Pipeline Womuhon Summary 21
Yankee Gulch SOd1um Minerals Pro~ecr
' American Sode, L.LP.
