<br />COLORADO D <br />Air Pollution Control Division <br />III IIIIIIIIIIIII III <br />999 <br />OP HEALTH <br />Telephone: (303) 320-4180 <br />PERMIT NO. 84LA300F(2) INITIAL APPROVAL <br />DATE ISSUED: February 7 , 1985 FINAL APPROVAL ^ <br />THE SOURCE TO WHICH THIS PERMIT APPLIES IS DESCRIBED AND LOCATED AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />ISSUED TO: WYOMING FUEL COMPANY <br />(This permit supercedes C-11,528(1-10) formerly issued <br />to CF&I Steel Company) <br />Golden Eagle Mine coal preparation and washing facility <br />located on State Highway 12 approximately 7 miles west of <br />Weston, Las Animas County, Colorado. <br />THE SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT OR ACTIVITY SUBJECT TO THIS PERMIT INCLUDES THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />Extraction, conveying, stockpiling and transporting raw coal <br />from Golden Eagle underground mine and operation of related <br />surface facilities; transport and deposition of waste coal to <br />a dump site 1000 feet distant; loading, conveying, and trans- <br />porting off-site of crushed coal by truck or by railroad car. <br />THIS PERMIT IS GRANTED SUBJECT TO ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE <br />COLORADO AIR QUALITY CONTROL COMMISSION AND THE COLORADO AIR QUALITY <br />CONTROL ACT C.R.S. 1973 (25-7-101 et sue.), TO THOSE GENERAL TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS SET FORTH ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THIS DOCUMENT AND THE <br />FOLLOWING SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS: <br />1. The fugitive particulate emission control measures listed on the attached <br />page (as proposed in the Fugitive Particulate Emission Control Plan <br />submitted to the Division) shall be applied to the particulate emission <br />producing sources as required by Regulation No. 1. <br />2. Emissions of particulate matter shall not exceed the following limitation(s) <br />(as calculated in the Division's preliminary analysis): 110.9 lbs./hour <br />and 96 tons/year. <br />These emission limits are based on processing up to a maximum of 1,200,000 <br />tons per year raw coal at a rate not to exceed 5000 tons per day; transport <br />by truck and disposal of waste cc al up to 60,000 tons per year and 250 <br />tons per day; and truck or railroad loadout and transport off-site of <br />-continued- <br />
