Andrews, Planner I <br />DATE: January 22, 1987 <br />SUBJECT: Special Use Permit No. 570 (the Rich Pit); Southwest <br />Ready Mix, "36th Lane" and U.S. Highway 50 East <br />~r~r- <br />PURPOSE <br />This is a one-year review of Special Use Permit No. 570, which <br />allows natural deposit extraction and processing, including a <br />concrete batch plant. <br />LOCATION <br />The subject property is a portion of Sections 33, 34, and 35, <br />Township 20 South, Range 63 West, and a portion of Section 2,~ <br />Township 21 South, Range 63 West (see Exhibit 1). The concrete <br />batch plant is located immediately south of U.S. Highway 50 East. <br />The extraction area is located north of the Arkansas River. The <br />extraction area and plant site are connected by a private road, <br />also included in this SUP. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Pueblo County Planning Commission, at its regular meeting <br />held December 10, 1985, voted to approve SUP No. 570. On <br />January 28, 1986, the PCPC approved an amendment to SUP No. 570. <br />The conditions that now pertain to that permit are as follows: <br />1. The applicant secure a Mined Land Reclamation permit <br />and a Fugitive Dust permit and provide copies of the <br />permits to the Department of Planning and Development <br />within 30 days of issuance. ,., <br />nl~ <br />~.~ ~~ <br />
