Bear Coal Co. should re-evaluate the condition of the landslide and <br />the retaining structure adjacent to the fan to determine the <br />retaining structure's ability to continue to retain the slope. If <br />re-engineering, repair, or replacement is necessary, plans to do so <br />should be submitted to the Division. <br />D. Mine Facilities <br />1. Bridge and conveyor footings of concrete remain in the North Fork <br />near Bear no. 1. Complete removal of these structures is addressed <br />in the reclamation plan. What is the timetable for removal of <br />these structures? <br />E. Hydrologic Balance <br />1. Please submit a reclamation plan for the flood control berm. <br />2. A detailed map showing spring locations in the Bear no. 3 area <br />should be submitted. The current map(Drawing 2.04.7(2)(a)) is not <br />sufficiently detailed. This information may be included on the <br />Geology/Hydrology map. <br />3. A map showing the placement of alluvial monitoring wells at Bear <br />ino-1; no. and no. 3 and piezometric surface contours determined <br />from wellZlata should be submitted. <br />4. Bear Coal Co. should address water usage and inflows within the <br />mine during the past 12 months and any impacts in accordance with <br />stipulation no. 4. <br />5. Bear Coal Co. should submit an annual hydrologic report as per <br />stipulation no. 6. <br />6. Quarterly pond inspection reports should continue to be generated <br />and submitted to the Division for pond no. 3. <br />7. Has any flow data for Lone Pine Gulch been collected <br />8. Bear Coal Co. should demonstrate that the gated pipe installed as <br />principal spillway in the sediment pond embankment does or can meet <br />the requirements of the open orifice design submitted in response <br />to Stipulation No. 1. <br />
