III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII 899 DATE: May 8, 2001 TO: Dave Berry FROM: Dan Mathews RE: Roadside Cost Estimates At your request, I have reviewed Jim Slark's cost estimate dated April 29, 2001, which lists a total estimate amount of $3,466,239.00, I have also reviewed Jim's amended version of Ute estimate vviUt a wver memo dated May 7, 2001, which "includes all of Ute changes to Ure rcclamation plan from Tecludcal Revisions 32, 33, and 35, and eliminates all of the tasks for reclanwlion work that has already been completed." The liability associated with Utis most recent estimate is $3,040,634.00, and Ute memo lists Ute specific tasks which were removed or modified to reflect reclamation work which has been performed, but for which no bond release has occurred. The May 7 metno identifies Ute follov~~ng tasks as having been removed or modified, because reclamation has been completed: Task 006 - Backfill North Decline Area Task 007 - Regtade Treasure Island... Although Ute work identified in Use task items has been wholly or partially completed, Urere has been no bond release for any of the listed tasks. Listed task itcros vvlricll have been modified (raUrer than removed) because associated reclamation has not been wholly completed are Tasks 016, 017, 046, 047, 055, and 99c.
