Need well to pump from stone columns. Cable anchor
system within the stone coumns and tied to bedrock as
conceptualized by Barr would provide additional strength and still
provide the desired drainage.
(d) Irmtall Iime atabillzatlon down slope of substation:
• good idea, consistent with approach to unsaturate the colluvium.
Needs to be tested and coordinated with dewatering wells proposed to
be tested by Barr.
(e) Construct RCC buttress or Soldier Piles east of Partel:
• good idea, consistent with approach to stabilize moving portion of
landslide. Need to consider whether a flezible wall or rigid wall is
appropriate. A properly constructed soldier pile wall (tied to bedrock)
with appropriate lagging will act as a tlesible wall.
3. Discussion regarding the proper approach to reduce infiltration into the
upslope french drain.
• Barr will be reviewing this and tentatively is considering covering alI
french drains with an impermeable cover to prevent runoff from entering
all french drains.
08280I~~6f881-I!CET
