SFIOULD THESE DETERh1INATI0NS DISCERN ANY <br />INACCURACY WHICH AFFECTS TILE ABILITY OF TILE COh1PAN1' TO ACIIZEVE T!!E PROJECTED <br />POST-MINING TOPOGRAPHIC CONFICURA'lION, Tf/EN T11E COMPANY SHALL REVISE TIfE h17NING <br />AND RECLAMATION PLAN APPROPRIATELY. <br />Along with other information on the revised mining plan presented by the applicant on <br />September I6, 198I, are Tables 1 and 2, which describe both volumes of overburden <br />replaced in the pits and the area of phases reclaimed. <br />Beginning in 1983 and continuing until 1985, an overburden stockpile will be required <br />to handle overburden removed from Phase IX. At t1)e maximum extent of this stockpile <br />in 1985, 465,000 cubic yards of material will be stored. At present, there is no <br />description, location, or sediment control for the pile discussed .in the application. <br />Therefore, the Division imposes the following stipulation: <br />PRIOR TO THE INITIATION OF ANY h1INZNG ACTIVITIES IN THE PflASE IX AREA, <br />EXCLUDING TOPSOIL REMOVAL, [/1'0h17NG FURL C0h1PANY IS DIRECTED TO SUBhIIT AN <br />APPLICATION FOR TECHNICAL. Coal Processing [/aste and Non-Coal Processiny Waste (2.05.3(8), 2.05.4(2)(f <br />9.10, 9.11) <br />The only coal processing done at the Canadian Strip mine site is crushing. The wastes <br />involved with this process is a small amount of airborne particulates (see IX - <br />Climatological and Air Resources). The small number of employees generate a minimal <br />amount of garbage which is disposed of at the Jackson County dump. The proposed <br />operations are in compliance with all sections of the Regulations dealing with coal <br />processing and non-coal processing waste. <br />XVIII. hli ne Facilities, Coal Handling .Structures, Support Facilities (2.05.3(3 <br />2.05.3(7), 4.04) <br />Mine facilities at the Canadian Strip mine include an office trailer, a crew trailer, <br />a shop, and a crushing plant. A description of these facilities, which meets all of <br />the requirements of Sections 2.05.3(3), 2.05.3(7), and 9.09, can be found on page <br />30 of Volume I and page 56 of Volume I. The location of~all structures is shown in <br />Figure 2. The sections of the application dealiny with mine facilities, coal handling <br />structures, and support facilities are in compliance with the Act and the Regulations. <br />
