Mr. Billy Owens <br />Mazch 27, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />Mining and haulage operations under the modified approach to Task 6 as described <br />herein will commence during daylight hours with the appropriate inspections completed <br />and means of egress maintained as originally approved. This task will continue to be <br />conducted with experienced miners who are familiar with coal seam mining, scraper haul <br />activities and working in proximity to highwalls. Assuming that no signs of instability <br />are noted during daylight hours, a final inspection of the work azea will be completed <br />before dazk. Operations will then be allowed to continue, most typically until the end of <br />swing shift (11:00 p.m.). Sufficient illumination will be provided in accordance with 30 <br />CFR 77.207. A thorough inspection of the azea will be completed before mining - <br />operations are allowed to resume on subsequent days. <br />Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
