Weld County Plmuving <br />Aggrega(e Industries - WCR, Ina -Waltenberg Lakes <br />USR-1350 Addendum <br />Page 3 <br />e. The Waltenberg Lakes special use permit boundary includes approximately 421 acres, of <br />which 245 acres will be mined. There will be tltree mining phases consisting of six <br />mining pits. Mining will begin in Phase I, as shown on Exhibit C of the DMG <br />application materials, and then move to Phases II and III. <br />f The duration of the mining operation will be 8 to 12 years, depending on market <br />demand. It is expected that the operator will excavate approximately 30 to 40 acres per <br />year. This mining operation is intended to be a continuous operation with no significant <br />cessation in mining. Please see Exhibit D of the DMG application materials for a more <br />detailed discussion on the phasing of the project. <br />g. The thickness of the sand and gravel deposit varies from Z to 41 feet. The overburden <br />and topsoil d8pth varies in thickness from 1 to 5 feet. <br />h. The proposed use of the reclaimed land is for water storage and wetland mitigation. A <br />full explanation of the reclamation process is described in Exhibit E and revisions to <br />Exhibit E of the DMG application materials. <br />i. The source of the technical advice for the water storage reservoir reclamation is <br />Applegate Group, Inc. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Applegate Group, Inc. <br />and their subcontractors supplied information for the wetland mitigation. <br />3. A list of property owners within 500 feet of the Waltenberg Lakes permit boundary is <br />provided on the cover sheet. The list includes names, addresses, and the corresponding <br />parcel identification numbers assigned by the Weld County Assessors Office. <br />4. A list of the names and addresses of mineral owners and lessees of minerals on or under the <br />proposed mine site, as assigned by the Weld County Assessors Office, is attached along <br />with an Affidavit of Interest Owners -Minerals and/or Subsurface. <br />5. The following documents are enclosed: <br />a. Reclamation plans, as submitted to the State of Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology (Exhibits E and F and revisions to Exhibits E and F). <br />b. Information for obtaining water supplies for the mining operation is included in the <br />DMG application materials, Exhibit G. <br />c. Cross sections of drainage structures for access to County roads and the interior <br />crossing of the Huett Ditch aze shown on the attached Special Review Extraction Plan <br />Map. <br />a <br />d. The profile and typical cross section of interior haul roads is also included on the <br />Special Review Extraction Plan Map. <br />
