-2- • Listed below is additional information: Location and numbers of acres affected this year: SE}, NE}, E}, SE} of Sec. 5, T 3 S, R 70 W, and SWt, NWt, and W}, SW}, Sec. 4, T 3 S, R 70 W., Jefferson County 63 total acres, 8 operation. This area has increased an additional acre. Rock removal has been from a high rock wall face rather than enlarging any additional surface area. Number of acres reclaimed this year: Surface areas reclaimed: 17 (additional seeding - October, 1985) Number of acres in various stages of reclamation: Acres backfilled: 2 Acres graded: 2 Acres revegetated: } surface area (13 to date) Topsoil acres replaced: 1} plus 1 acre previously topsoiled As of this writing, there have been no new areas reclaimed. lJitl~ nur present quarry activity involving the "high wall", the same quarry floor area continues to be in constant use. This situation should change somewhat next year. Species of vegetation planted, the locations and approximate dates oC ~~lanting: Species: 207, Tye, 57 Blue Gamma, 757, Wheat Grass This mixture is being used on all tfie seeding areas (level surface areas, berms, and road backslopes). Approximate dates of planting: October 1980: April, 1981; October, L981; October, 1983; October, 1984; and October, 1985. No fertilizers required to date. Appraisal of the success of relamation efforts: We feel our established seed areas are going to again be successful. We have found that rolling or compacting the seed into the topsoil is necessary to prevent wind loss and insure a higher rate of ground cover. Excess rain this year has produced abundant grass. Estimate of the number of acres to be affected Chis coming year: We anticipated one and one-half acres will be started beginning this fall season. This one and one-half acres will be a continuation to the north along the "high wall" area. •
