"The pond just <br />north of here is not even full, but <br />this one got it last night," she said <br />Friday morning. It rained almost <br />all of the night Sept 18 and the <br />following morning. <br />The pond is just west of <br />Colorado Highway 13 at the bo[- . <br />tom of a draw. A large spillway a[ <br />the southeast corner of the pond <br />takes water fo two overflow <br />pipes under the highway to the <br />creek to the east. `"I'he pipes <br />were clogged from silt and debris <br />from all the rain [his summer,': <br />Wolf said, "and the pond began <br />[o overflow across the highway <br />last nigh[ with all the rain." <br />Crews from the mine, <br />Colorado Department of <br />Highway employees "and the <br />state patrol worked to unclog the <br />pipes and clean up the highway <br />Friday. <br />No accidents resulted from <br />the water, and. i[ contained. no <br />enviromentally dangerous chem- <br />icals.
