suitable lynx habitat except perhaps during the winter months. No activities are proposed far the
winter.
Given the above information, TCC has determined that the exploration and reclamation described
in this application will not jeopazdize the continued existence of any endangered or threatened
species listed pursuant to Section 4 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1533) or the
Nongame, Endangered or Threatened Species Conservation Act (Section 33-8-IOl e! seq. C.R.S.
1973) or result in the destruction or adverse modification of critical habitat of those species.
7.) Confidential Materials
TCC requests that the attached Table 3 be held as confidential due to the sensitive nature of the
drill hole depths specified in the application.
9.) Reclamation Costs
Reclamation Cost Estimates are presented on 1997 NOI Table 4 attached to this application. Unit
costs utilized were obtained from previously approved figures. The total bond estimated for this
entire project is approximately $50,400. As previously noted, it is highly unlikely that all of the
proposed sites will be developed and drilled. The holes are numbered roughly in order of priority
with the lowest numbered holes to be drilled first. Drilling at sites 97010 and 97011 is least likely
to occur during 1997. The development of site 97011 may be unnecessary depending upon
developments al the underground mine. TCC proposes to initially provide a performance bond
adequate to cover the development and drilling of the first nine sites, and increase the bond if
necessary to address drilling at sites 97010 and 97011.
1: \documentUcazl\97 not
