Box 1949 <br />Fort Collins, Colorado 80522 <br />RE: Mined Land Recla~nation Board Action on Permits No. 77-345, IVo. <br />77-346, No. 17-347, and No. 77-3413 <br />Dear Mr. Thomsen: <br />On April 28, 1983, Ideal Basic's notices of temporary cessation of <br />production for the four above referen'=ed permits were presented to th=_ <br />Board. <br />At the March and, again, at the April Board rneetiny5, the Board has h.3d <br />extensive discussions tryiny to determine what does or does not <br />constitute temporary cessation. Based orr these discussions, the Board <br />has established some criteria to deter-rnine if a permitted operation is or <br />is not under the "temporary cessation" classification. These criteria3 <br />were used by the Board on each of the above referenced permits and the <br />Board's decision for each permit is addressed below. <br />A. Permit iY77-345, Boettcher Sandstone Quarry <br />1. The Board voted that this operation does meet the temporary <br />cessation criteria. Therefore, as of April 1, 1983 (i.e., 1130 <br />days after October 1, 1982 - tyre day production temporarily <br />ceased at this site) this pewit operation is in temporary <br />cessation. The Board also voted to increase Ideal's Bono for <br />this permit from $2,500.00 tc $5,000.UO.
