Introduction <br />This document is the approval package produced by the Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology (the Division) for a partial Phase <br />2 and Phase II bond release for the Southfield Mine, Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology file No. C-81-014. The Package <br />contains three parts. These include: 1) a summary of the review <br />process; 2) written findings of the Division regarding compliance <br />with the bond release requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining and Reclamation Act and regulations promulgated thereunder; <br />and 3) the final decision to approve the request for partial bond <br />release. <br />Detailed information about the review process can be found in the <br />Act and the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board for Coal Mining. All Rules referenced within this document <br />are contained within the Regulations. Detailed information about <br />the mining and reclamation operations can be found in the permit <br />application on file at the Division, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the Fremont County Clerk and <br />Recorder's Office in Canon City, Colorado. <br />1 <br />
