surface activities. A Phase I bond release zi was approved (1988) for demolition of structures and <br />grading and seeding of disturbed areas. Subsequently, mine water seeps developed at Portal 1. A 2.2- <br />acre zz azea was re-disturbed to accommodate a mine water dischazge collection system and treatment <br />facility in 1988. In 1995 23, mine water dischazges from Portal 3 were diverted to the treatment <br />facility, resulting in a total of 2.6 acres re-disturbed for the mine water portals discharges collection <br />and treatment system. A 100% bond release za was approved in 1993 for a section (approximately 2 <br />acres) of permanent road located in the loadout site. In summary, reclamation has progressed to the <br />point that approximately 63.0 acres of 63.2 acres (including areas of permanent features) have been <br />granted Phase I bond release, 2 acres of the 63.0 acres have been granted Phase II and Phase III bond <br />release, and 29 acres of [he 63.0 acres have been granted Phase II and Phase III release along with <br />removal from the permit. Of the 63.2 acres, 0.2 acres aze occupied by the bases of four water <br />monitoring flumes and a bridge over North Thompson Creek. This bond release application does not <br />pertain to these structures.
