Moritz, lnc:., Landscepe
Architects. We endorse this development plan, and cgree to abide by Barre.
(l0) Dust Control.
Our gravel operation will consist of handling wet pit run gravel, which in
itself discourages the generating of dust, However, if under certain conditions, we
do run into a dust problem, we will provide water spray bars at critical po;nts to
prevent air pollution.
We plan to water access roads to prevent fugitive dust. When this means
ceases to be economical, we may have to go to oil treatment.
We are constantly observed by the Environmental Protection Agency and the
Colorado Department of Health in this respect.
(11) As in Paragraph (10), we must meet U. S. Corps of Engineers' standares for strecm
pollution. These standards are also administered by the Environmentcl Prot=ction Agency
and the Colorado Department of Health. Penalties for violation of these regulations cre very
severe. We cannot afford to be guilty of even minor infractions.
(12) Our safety practices come under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, which is
administered by the Colorado Bureau of Mines. This is another example of a severe regu-
lation that must be observed if an operator hopes to remain in business.
We trust that the above outline of our plan meets with your cpproval.
Yours very truly,
FMG/deh
WESTERN PAVING CONSTRUCTION CO.
Frcn;c M.
