Eligible azeas aze sampled in the last two consecutive growing seasons prior to final bond <br />release, but not earlier than yeazs nine and ten of the extended liability period. <br />3.3.3 Mining Techniques, Directions, Mine Life, Production Rates <br />No further extraction of coal is anticipated at the site. The estimated mine life is through 2020 <br />[PAP, Section 2.05.4(2), page 1 ] 7]. <br />3.3.4 Surface Handling of Coal (crush, screen, wash) <br />There is no surface handling of coal at the site, and none is anticipated. <br />3.3.5 Disposal of Waste <br />There aze no coal processing wastes or mine development wastes on site, nor will any be <br />generated by current or anticipated activities, There were, and will be, some reclamation wastes <br />(Non-Coal Wastes) generated by demolition of facilities. These wastes were and may be placed <br />in the pits between the limits of five feet above the local ground water table and four feet below <br />Approximate Original Contour (AOC) (PAP, 2.05.4, pages 106 and 114). Flyash (a waste <br />generated off-site at a power plant in Golden) is permitted for placement in Pits A (completed) <br />and B. Flyash is placed five feet above the re-established local ground water table, and covered <br />with six feet of overburden spoil and two feet of topsand [PAP, Section 2.05.4, page 113]. <br />3.3.6 Other Reclamation <br />All facilities at the site are currently scheduled for removal, with the exception of electrical lines <br />not owned by CEC, a dugout pond, and Sediment Pond 2 and associated diversion/drainage <br />ditches. Facilities to be demolished include the office, shop and wazehouse; equipment pazking <br />lot; sewage treatment facility; all roads; electrical distribution system (to the extent owned by <br />CEC); potable water system; explosive storage facilities, and monitoring wells [PAP, Section <br />2.05.3, page 106, 114b and 114c]. <br />Pit highwalls will be graded into the pit backfill [PAP, Final Contour and Drainage Plan]. <br />3.3.7 Water Rights and Usage <br />Two wells aze permitted on the site [PAP, Section 2.03.10, page 31]. <br />Permit Renewal OS Findings <br />October 30, 2006 <br />Page 12 of 25 Pages <br />
