1
1
SUBURBAN SAND AND GRAVEL
ROAD RUNNERS REST 11
CASE #'s 13-BaCP d 20.92-C(A)
INTRODUCTION
1
This is an amendment to Adams County Case Number 13-80-CP b
20-92-C(A), which are Conditional Use Permits for mining sand and
gravel. It is a request to operate this mine as a dry mining
' operation. The current permit is to mine the area wet and leave
a private lake. This will allow us to operate the mine more
' efficiently and increase the amount of gravel available at the
mine. Below we have addressed the compatibility questions in the
' Zoning Resolution and included text that supports our request.
The following text is an attempt to supply you with as much
' information as possible about this dewatering plan, which gives
us the flexibility to develop the site properly without affecting
surrounding uses.
' AMENDMENT OF CONDITIONAL USE
MINING PLAN REVISIONS
This proposed revision is very simple. We want to operate
' this mine as a dry operation where the plan is to dewater the
mined area so we can optimize gravel extraction at the site.
' This site has three other mining operations around our site that
are being dewatered. Two are to the south and one is to the
north. Since 1994 we have seen the lake elevation drop from 8 to
10 feet as the other mines are being dewatered. Final use of the
site will remain as previously approved. What this change WILL
' NOT DO, is increase the affected lands area, disrupt the sur-
rounding uses or change the final land configuration or use.
' Attached is one new map showing the current conditions at the
mine. We have not submitted new mining or reclamation plan maps
' for this site since the only change to the permit is to allow
dewatering.

' 2
