The site is located at 9109 Monaco Street in Commerce City, The application was <br />reviewed for compliance with the solid waste statute, 30-20.100, CRS, et seq. (the "Act' aad the <br />corresponding regulations, 6 CCR 1007-2 (the "Rcgutatlons"}. <br />Because large amounts of wastes imported from off-site wilt be used in reclamation of the mining pit, a <br />Certificate of Designation is deemed necessary for the operation. The Division's review was limited to <br />items of solid waste concern, which included types of waste material from ofd site to be accepted, waste <br />scre~ng procedures, placement pf solid wastes, record keeping aad deed notation as a disposal site. <br />Other site design features and activities are covered in a Mined Land Reclamation Board peanit <br />administered by the Division of Minerals and Geology. <br />In accordance with the solid waste statute CRS 30-20-100-5 et seq. (the Act), and corresponding <br />regulations, 6 CCR 1007-2 (the Regulations), the Division issued a press misses about the proposed <br />operation and held a 30.daypublic review and comment period, The 30-daypublic comment period <br />ended Apri14, 2003, No comments were received by the Division. <br />
