LOVELAND READY MIX CONCRETE, INC. <br />GREEN AND CROISSANT AGGREGATE 1VIINING PROJECT <br />WETLAND MITIGATION PLAN (ON SITE) <br />(Modified /Updated June 2004) <br />SUMMARY <br />This wetland mitigation plan identifies plans and measures to mitigate for the loss of 6.54 <br />acre of wetlands. Impacts to wetlands include 5.44 acres of oxbow channel wetlands, <br />0.85 acres of tailwater wetlands, and 0.25 acre of isolated oxbow wetlands within the <br />Green and Croissant project site. The mitigation will create 3.5 acres of oxbow channel <br />wetlands, and 3.55 acres of wet meadow wetlands totaling 7.05 acre of newly created <br />wetlands. The waters and wetlands created during mitigation will be of equivalent or <br />higher function and value than those disturbed. There will be no temporal loss of <br />wetlands or waters during the life of the project. <br />1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />1.1 Responsible Parties <br />The applicant for the individual permit and responsible party for implementation, <br />maintenance, and monitoring of the mitigation plan under Section 404 is Loveland Ready <br />Mix Concrete, Inc., P.O. Box 299, Loveland, Colorado 80539, telephone number 970 667 <br />2680. The contact person for this project is Mr. Steve Fancher, Vice President. <br />The landowner, Viola C. Croissant /Leon H. Croissant Family Tn~st, 27775 Blackfoot Road, <br />Loveland, CO 80537, will be responsible for controlling grazing activities within the <br />mitigation azeas, and the preservation of the mitigation in perpetuity, as per the attached <br />deed restriction. <br />The individual permit application, alternatives analysis, and the mitigation plan were <br />prepazed by Michael Savage, Principal, Savage and Savage, Inc., 4610 Haystack Drive, <br />Windsor, Colorado 80550, telephone number 303-674-8080. <br />1.2 Project Location <br />The project site is located south and east of the junction of Weld County Roads 13 and <br />54. The Croissant property is bounded on the west by a fence line, on the north by <br />County Road 54, on the east by the Big Thompson River and on the south by a fenceline <br />at the top of the secondary alluvial terrace above the Big Thompson Riyer. The Green <br />property is bounded on the west by County Road 13, on the north by County Road 54, on <br />the east by the fence line with the Croissant property, and on the south by the property <br />fence and southeast by the Hillsboro Ditch. The properties are located within the W3/<N%z <br />of Section 30, Township 5 North, Range 67 West of the Sixth Prime Meridian in Weld <br />Green & Croissant Aggregak Mining <br />Loveland Aeady Mix, Inc. et al. <br />Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc.
