. • • Permit Xumber CO-0043 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />UNITED STATES <br />DEPART:(rNT OF THE INTERIOR <br />OFFICE OF SURFACE PIINING <br />This permit is issued for the United States of America by the Office of <br />Surface Plining to the National Ring Coal Inc., the lessee of Federal <br />Coal Lease: C-29125 and P-058300. This permit is not valid until a <br />performance bond is filed eaith the Office of Surface Plining in the amount <br />of $100,000.00, payable to the United States of America and the State of <br />Colorado, and until the Office of Surface Mining has received a copy of <br />this permit signed and dated by the permittee. <br />Sec. 1 STATUTES AND REGUhATIONS - This permit is issued pursuant and <br />subject to the terms anti provisions of the Surface Plining Con- <br />trol and Reclamation Act of 1977, 30 U.S.C. Section 1201 et <br />seq., hereafter referred to as the Act, and the terms and con- <br />ditions of the Federal coal lease issued pursuant to the Plineral <br />Leasing Act of February 15, 1920, 41 Stat. 437, (as amended, 30 <br />U.S.C. Sections 151-287), the Federal Coal Leasing Amendments <br />Act of 1976, as amended, 90 Stat. 1083-1042, and in the case of <br />acquired lands, the Plineral Leasing Act for Acquired Lands of <br />Septembar 7, 1947, as amended, 30 U.S.C. 351-359 et seq. Ti~is <br />permit is also subject to all regulations of the Secretary of <br />the Interior (including, but not limited to, 30 CFR Part 211 <br />and Chapter VII and 43 CFR Group 3400), and to all regulations <br />of the Secretary of Energy promulgated pursuant to Section 302 <br />of the Department of Energy Organization Act of 1977, 42 U.S.C. <br />Section 7152, which are nova in force or (except as expressly <br />limited herein) hereafter in force, and all such regulations <br />are made a part hereof. <br />Sec. 2 This permit authorizes the permittee to conduct surface coal <br />mining and reclamation operations and surface operations con- <br />nected eaith the underground mining on the described Federal <br />lands within the permit area at the Ring dine situated in the <br />State of Colorado, County of La Plata and contained in <br />Tocanship 35 North, P.ange 11 (Jest-N.M. P.P1. <br />Section 31: N1/2 NEl/4 SEl/4 and SEl/4 NEl/4 <br />Section 32: SIJ1/4; SE1/4 N[dl/4; [J1/2 NSJ1/4 <br />Section 29: SSJ1/4 S1J114 SS;I/4 <br />containing about 350 acres, subject to conditions of the lease(s), <br />the approved mining and reclamation plan, conditions Herein pro- <br />vided, and applicable e\cts and regulations. <br />
