Dept. of Natural Reso~!rce~ <br />Communications between OSA[ and :National King Coal, Inc. on June 29, 1982 <br />identified corrections that should be made to the permit that [aas sent to <br />National King Coal Inc. on June 4, 1982. The error was in Section t[ao of <br />the permit which describes the Federal lands [,~ithin the permit area. Re- <br />ference to lands in Section 29, Township 35N, Range llld was originally <br />omitted. The corrections to this permit have been made and OSCI is issuing <br />a new permit (enclosed). This ne[a permit [gill become effective only [when: <br />1) page four of the permit has been signed by an authorized representative <br />of National King Coal and returned to OS.[ and, 2) a bond in the amount of <br />$100,000 payable to both Colorado Piine Land Reclamation Division and the <br />United States of America has been received by OS?(. Signing the permit is' <br />only an acknowledgement that the permit has been read and the requirements <br />of the permit and stipulations are understood. PursuanC to 30 CFR 787.11, <br />National King Coal, Inc. will have 30 days from the date OSAI receives the <br />signed permit to appeal the Director`s decision on the application. <br />Page Four has been provided in duplicate, so you can retain one copy with <br />original signatures and return one copy with original signatures to us. <br />If you have an}• questions, please feel free to call either myself or Floyd <br />L.
