if t~ > t,on~~ for a = 0.10 with (n -1) degrees of freedom, then H„ is rejected and revegetation is deemed
successful.
Therefore 4.34 > 1.310 so the hypothesis (H°) is rejected, and revegetation is demonstrated to
be successful for production with 30 samples in the sample population.
Species Diversity
Sixteen plant species were encountered in the vegetation cover sampling (see Table 1). Eight
species measured greater than 3% and less than 60% relative cover. No species were
present at greater than 60% relative cover. Of the eight species, four species were perennial
cool season grasses, two were warm season perennial grasses, one was a perennial forb, and
one was a biennial forb. The perennial forb was field bindweed, which is included on the
Colorado State Noxious Weed list but is not included on the Las Animas County weed list.
The reclaimed plant community achieved the approved species diversity standard.
IV.
