SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />G.E.C. - Orphan Pit - Coal Revocation Project <br />RN-COAL-MINES - 8 <br />PROJECT LOCATION ._ <br />The G.E.C. - Orphan Pit - Coal Revocation Project is located in <br />Sections 19, 24 and 30, T20S, R70W. The site is six (6) miles south <br />of Florence, Colorado, off County Road 15. See the attached maps. <br />WORK SIIMMARY <br />The principal objectives of this project are to perform maintenance <br />on drainage and impoundment structures, to construct a permanent <br />diversion, to reclaim two small pits and one associated highwall <br />with the backfilling of miscellaneous coal waste, trash and fill, <br />and to revegetate all areas disturbed in the project. All acreages <br />and volumes found throughout this bid document are approximate. <br />PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE SHOWING <br />A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing will be held at the <br />G.E.C. Mine on Thursday, August 5, 1993. Please meet at the <br />entrance to the Corley Ranch, located 4 miles southwest of State <br />Highway 67 on County Road 15, at 8:00 a.m. Proceed south west on <br />County Road 15 for roughly 2 miles until you come to a fork in the <br />road. Take a right at the fork in the road near the Energy Fuels <br />Southfield Mine sign and proceed roughly 1 mile to the Corley Ranch <br />sign. <br />The purpose of the Pre-Bid Meeting is to show prospective bidders <br />the work site and vicinity. Bidders are advised to be prompt. A <br />sign-in sheet will be available at the Pre-Bid Meeting for firms to <br />register their attendance. It is the bidder's responsibility to <br />make certain their attendance is recorded on the sign-in sheet. <br />Failure to sign-in or to attend the entire meeting will be cause for <br />rejection of a bid. <br />Bidders should plan to take all photographs and measurements <br />necessary to prepare a bid estimate. Bidders' access to this site <br />for estimation purposes is limited to the day of the Pre-Bid meeting <br />unless the Division receives proof of Liability Insurance. Proof of <br />Liability Insurance will be reviewed by the Division and contractors <br />-z- <br />
