Armor the one hundred <br />thirty feet (130') of outfall, the fifty-foot (50') width of the <br />Magpie Creek Diversion channel and eight feet (8') up the <br />opposite side. Alternatively install two seventy-two inch (72") <br />diameter half culverts as a downdrain into the Magpie Creek <br />diversion and armor the bottom and opposite side of the Magpie <br />Creek Diversion channel as previously described. <br />D. No Name Drainage <br />Stabilization will involve the regrading of the southwest corner <br />of the graded refuse area pit. An area approximately twenty feet <br />(20') wide and one hundred feet (100') long has been damaged by <br />water from an overlying watershed. The drainage channel has <br />eroded into the old refuse pile. The CONTRACTOR will regrade the <br />gully area where the refuse exposure begins and ends into a <br />trapezoidal channel with a finished eight-foot (8') bottom width, <br />3:1 sideslopes, and one foot (1') deep (Figure 4). There should <br />be a smooth transition from the ungraded ditch to the regraded <br />rip-rap channel. The armoring will consist of fifteen inches <br />(15") of angular competent rock with the following <br />specifications: <br />n <br />Dmax = 12 <br />D = 9" <br />50 <br />D20 = 4.5" <br />D10 = 3° <br />No more than five percent (5$) passing a 200 sieve. <br />The filter blanket will be six inches (6") thick and the rock <br />will range in size from three sixteenths of an inch (3/16") to <br />three inches (3").
