All main fans shall be kept in continuous operation except in the <br /> eve nt of <br />• 1. Scheduled maintenance or adjustments on idle days when <br /> all men other than those performing ventilations or ad- <br /> justments are withdrawn from the mine and the mine power <br /> is cut off. <br /> 2. Uncontrolled stoppage or failure. <br /> 3. Other stoppages, when written permission is obtained <br /> from an authorized representative of the secretary. <br /> (See request for scheduled fan stoppage.) <br /> If an unusual variance in the mine ventilation pressure is observed, <br /> or if an electrical or mechanical deficiency of main fan is detected, <br /> the mine superintendent or mine foreman or chief mine electrician <br /> sha ll be promptly notified and appropriate action on repairs shall <br /> be promptly instituted. <br /> C.
